Government, US History, Economics, Western History
In 1992, two years after graduating from the University of Wyoming, I began my career with Valley Christian as a Middle School History Teacher. I was 27 at the time so I quickly found a trophy wife, Sharla Glidewell, before the grip of old age destroyed my chances. I have been thankful for this wise line of thinking ever since.
After three years of teaching at Valley, Sharla and I packed up our subterranean apartment and headed for Laramie, Wyoming with our first child of three months. I had a dream of being on the staff of Campus Ventures, the college ministry that had mentored me and changed my life. For reasons still mysterious to me, the dream fizzled out after four glorious years and I found myself employed again at Valley Christian School. We had left Missoula with one child and a small half-full moving van. We returned with three kids and required the largest moving van in the world.
Now I am on my twelfth year at Valley Christian and I teach High School Economics, Government, World and U.S. History. Sharla and I have five kids ranging from fifteen to five years old. Four of my kids keep a sharp eye on me by attending school at Valley and the fifth one will join them next year by attending Kindergarten. God is good.
