1st Grade
My name is Cheryl Nurse and I have been teaching here since 1992. From the time I was a young child, I always knew that I wanted to be a teacher. I was born in Berlin, Germany on November 14, 1963. As a child, going to church every Sunday was important to my parents. But, it wasn’t until the summer following my junior year in High School that I realized what it meant to have a relationship with Jesus Christ.
I thank the Lord every day for bringing my husband Ed and I to Valley Christian School while our boys were still young. It was here that I truly became a student of the Word and began to realize what it meant to Godly Parent my children. As I continue to acknowledge Him, He is faithful to direct me in the path he has chosen for me.
