Part of any well-rounded educational environment includes the opportunity for students to participate in extracurricular activities. Outside activities such as music, academic clubs, and sports all offer valuable experience and life lessons for students who participate.
Extracurricular activities offer opportunities for students to learn the values of teamwork, individual and group responsibility, physical strength and endurance, competition, diversity, and a sense of culture and community. These activities provide a channel for reinforcing the lessons learned in the classroom, offering students the opportunity to apply academic skills in a real-world context, and are thus considered part of a well-rounded education.
At Valley Christian School, students have many extracurricular options. Of the many options available are competitive sports teams (boys’ Soccer, girls’ Volleyball, both boys’ and girls’ Cross Country, boys and girls Basketball, Tennis and Track), music programs (Choir and Band), and service and leadership clubs (Student Leadership, Honor Society, Key Club – service to school and community).
Valley Christian is proud to offer its students opportunities to grow into individuals that are well-balanced in the areas of academics, teamwork, and service, all encompassed in a spiritually guided environment throughout which He (Jesus) is always preeminent.
